The Territorial Army Unit and Greenvalley School conducted a plantation drive in Mhaismal. More than 3,500 saplings were planted in collaboration with forest department officials and students of Greenvalley School. The initiative was conducted to create greener belts across the Marathwada area ,and bring awareness amongst the youths to conserve nature and spread the message of maintaining the environmental balance. The army and Greenvalley school troopers participated in the drive and planted saplings on high mountain terrain to make it green. Gayatri Pariwar organised and financed plantation drive every year. Shri Bhagwat Karad Rajya Sabha member of Maharashtra, Col Shah and Dr Chinmay Pandya were the Chief Guest for the plantation drive.
